Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home 519 Locust Street, Owensboro, Kentucky 42301 Phone: 270-684-9891 Email: haleymcginnis@att.net Fax: 270-684-9894 Vickie Thompson Walker, 58, of Owensboro, lost her battle with cancer on August 16, 2009 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born August 3, 1951 in Daviess County to the late Richard B. Thompson and Marietta Cashen Thompson. She worked for Dr. J Russell Ross as an accounts payable and receivable clerk. She was a member of the Catholic Faith. She enjoyed traveling, and spending time with her family. Surviving are her daughters Mischelle Falloway and her husband, Gary of Owensboro; Dianne Brown of Owensboro; and her son, Jonathan Brown and his fiancé, Shannon Martin of Owensboro; her grandchildren, Collin, Keeley, and Hayden Falloway, Dominic Brown, Jaxon Brown; and step-granddaughter, Haley Lyons; sisters, Parthey Conder of North Carolina; Linda Howard, Goretti Coomes, Lynette Ross and her husband, J Russell; and Mayre Thompson, all of Owensboro; and Patrice Czyphea and her husband, John of Texas; brothers, Dennis Thompson and his wife Mary Beth, of Maryland; Dale Thompson and Mark Thompson, both of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 1:00pm. Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation is from 3 to 8 Tuesday, August 18, 2009 and 11 to 1, Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Father Brad Whistle will be officiating. The family requests expressions of sympathy in the form of donations to Vickie T. Walker Memorial, P.O. Box 69, Owensboro, Ky. 42302. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.haleymcginnis.com

Mom, I will miss you until the day I meet with you again. I don't know how I will survive without you, but I am learning. I hope you are walking on streets of gold, see gates made of perals, live in the most beautiful mansion, and have the prettiest flowers the eye could imagine. You deserve it. You never left my side, and I still will never leave yours. I am so lucky you raised me. I may not have what others have, but my heart is made of gold because of you. Honesty, faith, reality, love, and wisdom...all because of you. GOD knows good and he remembers it. I love you and cannot wait to see you again.
