Sarah Hill Webb Morgan, the 12th of 13 children born to the late Lizzie, and Bank Hill December 5, 1904 in Coleman, Georgia. Sarah received her early childhood education in Coleman, Georgia. Virgil Chapel AME Church was her first church home where she served as a missionary, Sunday school teacher, served on the usher board, and sung in the choir. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to Johnnie Webb. To this union one son was born, John W. Webb. Later she met, and married Cagus Morgan, and to that union five sons was born, Melvin, Herman , Cagus Jr, Lorain, and Felton Morgan. She also raised her deceased sister's children, James , Paul , Benjamin, Sarah , Daisy , Ruth, daughter, Rebecca, and Grandson, Reginald Merritt. After many years of caring for her mother, and running the family farm, she relocated to Newark, NJ with the rest of her family in 1962. There she joined Israel Memorial AME Church, in Newark, NJ where she served on the Senior Usher Board, Stewardess Board #4, Missionary Society, and the Secretary of the Mortgage Club. Sarah not only served the lord in the church, but also in the community by joining the prevailing prayer band, a community based group consisting of members from several churches in the surrounding area. Partnering with this group she set out on a mission to bring prayer to those in need. Prayer Warrior was often a title used when speaking about Mother Morgan. She was often called upon to pray for people all over the United States. Civic duty was extremely important to her. This past election was no exception, and had a much greater meaning than most. Although she could no longer go to the voting booth in person, she insisted that her vote be sent in by absentee ballot. Sarah was employed at the Deluxe Toy Company in Elizabeth, NJ until her retirement. Sarah was the matriarch of the family and felt honored, and proud of her role. Affectionately known as Mother, Aunt Sarah, Grandma, Mother Morgan, she made many lives richer, and their days happier with her many words of wisdom, and prayers. Faith in God made her who she was , and her motto was always tell the truth, and the truth will take care of itself. Sarah was predeceased by her husband, siblings, and two sons Cagus jr., and Lorain. She leaves to cherish her memory, four sons, John Webb, Melvin, Herman (Carolyn), Felton (Lynn) Morgan, daughter Rebecca (Charles)Peters, a countless host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, 21 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 10 great great- grandchildren, her church family , and many dear friends. Im proud to have been blessed with a praying granmother. Being the youngest of the grandchildren, i find it extremely difficult to deal with the fact that i can no longer say "Grandma" any more, but to God be the Glory. She has taught me a lot and has been a strong influence in my life. She was the true definition of a parayer warrior. Her laugh, smile, and even the way she ate cough drops will truley be missed. I thank God for this time because it has made me a better woman , and i have truly learned how to trust and depend on Him. Im going to keep my hands in Gods hands and trust that everything will work out fineas my Grandma would say. I love and miss her. She was strong and wonderfully made. I will try to continue the life that she exemplified. I praise and lift her up for my Grandma, Sarah L.Morgan was a phenomenal woman.

May memories of Aunt Sarah comfort us all in the days ahead. She was truly a woman of fortitude and this is one of many scriptures that I think of regarding Aunt Sarah: "I have fought a good fight; I have finished my course; I have kept the faith." Dearest Family: We Love Aunt Sarah Always! To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord! Glory be to the Father! Ephesians 1:3-7 and 10 -- (3)Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: (4) According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: (5) Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, (6)To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.(7) In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;.. and (10) That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him. I can recall the victory and privelege of praying with her and the strength of her prayers calling down fire just like Elijah. We that love the Lord and await his return and the hope that we have in Jesus Christ -- the ONLY Savior -- the only name under heaven and earth whereby a man can call upon to be saved. For one day we will see our loved ones again who are the called, "The Beloved" of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Fill us with your Spirit --- in the fullness of time -- It is my prayer the remaining family receives the "Promise" the gift of the Holy Ghost! For without Holiness no man can see him. Love and blessings, keep the faith, one faith, one Lord, one baptism. We love you all, we grieve, but not like those who have no hope for we have the lively hope which is in Christ Jesus! We hope to see you soon! Love and Blessings from Nassau Bahamas and Williamsburg, VA Mr. Maxwell Rolle and Mrs. Jane Marie Rolle

My love and prayers to Mother Sarah Morgan's family. "Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around but Faith looks up." I have loved Mother Morgan for more than twenty years. I thank God for blessing me with her Unconditional Love. The subject of our many conversations was always the goodness of our Savior-Jesus Christ. I will always miss her but I thank God for allowing me to be in her presence. Thanks to all of you for sharing her with me. I have grown spiritually; to God be the Glory.
