Katherine, Mary Lee, Terry and Family, With the paper taking a while to get to Kansas I only learned of Jimmy's passing yesterday. I was very saddened to hear the news. Jimmy brings back a lot of fond memories. While this may date me, I remember working closely with Jimmy and Baker Chandler when I was Mayor. Those two guys keep things humming with the internal workings of the Town of Clarksville. Jimmy was always the guy you could count on to get the job done. He not only was a valuable asset to the Town, but also made lasing contributions to the community through his involvement in the Mecklenburg County Rescue Squad, the VFW and Clarksville Baptist Church. He will be sorely missed by many. Please accept my deepest condolonces and know my thoughts and prayers are will all the family during this difficult time.

Clarksville and Clarksville Baptist have lost another good Christian man. Please know that we are praying for you at this sad time, but we know, as you do, that Mr. Hite is in the arms of Jesus. Frankie and I pray that God and the wishes of friends will sustain you through these dark days.

To the Hite family, I send condolences to you. Mr. Hite was a real gentlemen and I know he will be truly missed. But, God called him home and he won't have to suffer any more. He can walk the streets of gold and have no worries. I have many memories of him when I lived there. May God wrap His arms around the entire family and comfort you now and in the time of healing.
