Glenn Wesley Cowden III, 27, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Mountain View Hospital in Payson, Utah. Glenn was born October 18, 1982 in Provo Utah to Dennis M. Cowden and Darlene Burch Cowden. He attended Spanish Fork Schools, graduating from Spanish Fork High School, where he lettered in Football during his Junior and Senior years.
Glenn married Nikki Purkey and welcomed her sons into his life. He was a great dad to A.J. and Jordan, he loved them dearly. He loved baseball, animals, and motorcycles. Glenn enjoyed building and working on things, and he always kept everything clean and neat.
Glenn was born and raised in the LDS church, and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He was a true friend and was always willing to help his friends and family. He was employed by Mountain Country Foods for the past eight years.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Nikki, sons, A.J. and Jordan, his parents, David and Darlene Pierce, siblings, Kimberly (Guy) Ingram, Shaun (Brooke) Cowden, Robert (Jenifer) Cowden, Travis Pierce, and Stacy (Bob) Condie, his grandfather, Fred Pierce, aunts, uncles, and many nieces and nephews who loved him beyond measure. He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Mahlon Cowden, his grandparents, and one nephew.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 6, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Palmyra Stake Center, 505 East 900 North, Spanish Fork, Utah. Family and friends may call on Thursday evening, November 5, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Walker Family Mortuary, 187 South Main, Spanish Fork, Utah or on Friday morning at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
