Donna M. Butkus, 68, of Minocqua, WI passed away on Friday November 20, 2009 at the Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff. She was born in Chicago, IL to Andrew and Evelyn (nee Firmiss) Reilly. She married Ronald Butkus on June 13, 1959 at St. Sabina Church in Chicago. Ron and Donna moved to the Northwoods in 1975 and she started working as a RN at the Lakeland Memorial Hospital. She retired in 2006 from the Howard Young Medical Center 4th floor. Donna had a passion in caring for other people and her family. She also loved taking trips to Hawaii.
She was preceded in death by her father and husband Ronald. Survivors include her mother Evelyn Reilly, five children, Ronald Butkus Jr of Minocqua, David (Lori) Butkus of Minocqua, Linda Marie Butkus of Minocqua, Robert (Cheryl) Butkus of Minocqua and Kathleen (Ty) Peterson of Woodruff; ten grandchildren, Krysta, Meghan, Emily, Ronald III, Rebecca, Melissa, Christina, Bo Anthony, Brett and Ashley. Further survived by three brothers, Donald (Arlene); Richard (Sharon); Dennis (Chris); three sisters, Regina (Stan); Mary (John) and JoAnne (Tom) and many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday November 25, 2009 at 11 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation will be one hour prior the service at the church. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Woodruff.
