I wanted to first say how truly sorry I am for your loss. I first met Brian during new hire orientation at Home Depot many years ago. As luck would have it, we sat next to each other and immediately began a friendship. For several years we hung out almost daily, during work and outside of it. Like all great friendships, we experinced some difficult times, but we always managed to work it out. He was a close and dear friend to me. Brian was a generous man with a warm smile for all, and a qucik joke to make you laugh. One of the best jokes I know and use to this day came from Brian. I will miss my friend. No words will ever be sufficient to express the amount of grief I am experiencing since I learned about his passing. I am extremely fortunate to have met and be friends with Brian. I will always miss my friend.

To the Copeland Family
We are sorry for your loss of your beloved Brian. He will always have a special place in our hearts. He will be truly missed forever and always. We have alot of memories about Brian. But one stands out the most. My husband Ricke worked with Brian for three years. And I was just told by my husband the other day. That when he called me at work to say hey. Alot of times Brian would finish the conversation. I would not even know it. They would laugh and say Cassie and Sabrina dont know what we just did to them. Love Always Sabrina And Rick Farias
Zach and Cassie love you guys

The frist time I met Brian was of couse at the bowling alley. I thought he was the hottest guy I had ever seen. The next time I saw him my friends and I were going to Santa Cruz in 1994 and there he was with Kevin, that day was the start of a great friendship. 11 Years ago Brian gave me one of his rings and to this day I still have it. The friendship that we shared was very special. We talked about everything and helped eachother get through some hard times. He had just come back into my life two months ago and of couse I saw him at the bowling alley. Jim, Brian and I stayed up all night and just talked about all the good times we use to have. I will miss him dearly. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

Matt, Toni, Jennifer, and Todd,
Over the last few days I have ran over so many memories of Brian. Our bunnies Jackie Chan and Stormy. Jackie's unfortunate accident Jennifer had to call me to have him rushed to the veterinarian. How Brian's banter about the poor bunny plight made me laugh and want to hit him all at the same time. Jennifer's bunnies were vicious!
How he would tease me about Nana and tell me how thats "my Nana not your Nana" and I was not allowed to call her Nana as he hugged her possessively and tightly. I remember how Nana told me he was her baby as she hugged him back.
The Dolphin/Raiders game we went to where Brian wore his Dolphin jacket. I did not think we were going to make it out of there without a fight.
The Cirque du Soleil I would of never known about and if Brian and Toni would of never taken me. Till this day my family and I go every single time it's in town.
Brian helped shaped my life and helped make me become who I am today. I was so lucky to be a part of his life so many years ago and I have never forgot that and never will.
He was such a very important part of my teenage years and so was your family. I do not know what I would ever have done without all of you. Your loss breaks my heart.
I want to send love from my mother, my two sisters, and my brother-in-law who all cared for Brian. We have all shed many tears these last few days. Parents should never have to lose their children.
To Cassie & Zachary, although we do not know one another I want to wish you the best, as another mom raising two boys it can be so challenging. Kiss your boy and remember every day is precious.
With all the love of my heart,
Wendy Flansaas (Moore)

Dear Toni, Matt, Jennifer and Todd, it is so hard at these difficult times to find the right words that will offer you comfort. Toni, I want you to know that my daughter and I have always felt that you treated us as part of your family ever since you move here from northern California. Our initial contact was through Jennifer, and softball, but we developed a friendship, and sense of family based on mutual respect, our shared heritage and backgrounds. Toni, you are and always have been a good mother, take comfort from that, as Matt has been a good father to all your children. The loss of Brian will leave a void in the lives of everyone he touched. He always treated me with respect, as have Jennifer and Todd. Kristin and I will continue to pray that God will give you the strength as a family to find comfort in His Love...

I think we were about 18-19 years old when I first met Brian. We had some mutual friends. One of my friends had just hugged him as we were leaving the bowling alley. He turned to me, sporting a toothy grin, with his arms wide, wanting a hug. I looked him up & down as if to say, "Uh, who in the world are you?" He said, "Aww, what? No hug??" I said, "I don't even know you." He dropped his arms, stuck out his hand and said with a smile, "I'm Brian." I shook his hand, continued with a quizical look on my face & apprehensively responded, "I'm Amber..." After shaking hands, he spread his arms out once again & said, "Now can I get a hug?" Well, who could resist such charm, of course I gave him a hug.
So now I send a big hug to his family during this time. I know his hugs will continue to surround us. You're in my thoughts...
