Mrs. Lewis was born July 20, 1932 in Madison, Wisconsin to Pearlie O. and Ellen (Austin) Strait. Her family moved to Eugene, OR from Madison, Wisconsin when she was a young child. On Dec. 27, 1972 in Ashland, Oregon she married Lawrence "Arky" Lewis. Arky died in 2002. She was a member of Easter Star, Daughter of the Nile, and she was a former volunteer with Lovejoy Hospice. Her interests included, sewing, knitting, crafts, reading, and traveling, and her family and friends.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Carla Brancato and son in law, Philip Brancato of Crescent City, CA and Camille Deenin and son in law, Alix Deenin of Lynwwod, WA 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Private interment will be at the Eagle Point National Cemetery in Eagle Point, Oregon.
