Services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel for Louis J. Scirocco, 83, of McDonald who passed away Wednesday morning in Hospice House. Louis was born December 10, 1925 in Youngstown the son of Giuseppe and Angeline (Cervone) Scirocco. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII. He retired as a brakeman with the Erie - Lackawanna Rail Road, which later became Conrail, after 30 years of service. He also worked for Rockwell Standard for 15 years while he worked for the railroad. Louis was a catholic in faith. In his younger years, Louis enjoyed fishing, bowling, golf, and cars. He also enjoyed wood working and carpentry. His wife the former Rose Massuri, whom he married May 27, 1947, passed away November 2, 1983. Louis leaves three children; Robert (Carol) Scirocco of McDonald, Frank (Lee Marchese) of Howland, and Patricia (Don) Fusselman of Canfield, one brother and two sisters; John (Anne) Scirocco, Mary Stizza, and Josephine (Ab) Morgan all of Girard, seven grandchildren; Nick, Tom, Marlo and Frank Scirocco, and Ryan, Rob, and Patrick Lane. Louis also leaves his long time companion; Burnice "Bea" Braun and her children. Besides his parents and wife, Louis is preceded in death by five sisters and one brother; Rose Maderitz, Margaret Stibinger, Ralph Scirocco, Tina Russo, Yolanda Felix, and Delores Scirocco. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Friday and from 10 AM until the time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
