Gulf Breeze, Florida – Mabel Jean Harrell Stewart, 79, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2009 in Gulf Breeze.
She was born July 5, 1930 in Macey to the late Grand and Willie Harrell. Mabel attended Childress High School and received her BSE from Arkansas State University in 1967. She was a past member of the Macey and Monette United Methodist Church. She was very outgoing and was fun to be around, she never met a stranger, loved the beach and loved to dance.
Survivors include her sons and their wives, Tony and Donna Stewart and Jerry and Theresa Stewart; a daughter, Shari Stewart; a sister, Mrs. Frances Adams; seven grandchildren, Kellie Stewart, Kimmie Stewart Beckham, Julie Hulett Baltz, Jamie Hulett Pryor, Nichlos Marlin, Stephanie Stewart Melican and Dustin Stewart; ten great-grandchildren, Chase Stewart, Jack Baltz, Sadie Baltz, Josie Baltz, Thomas John Baltz, Darcy Melican, Delaney Melican, Delilah Melican, Daphne Melican and Dane Stewart.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Talmadge Harrell and Edward “Dago” Harrell and a sister, Amanda Ball.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 1.00 P.M. at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Macey Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday, from 11:00 until time of service at the Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.
