Michael S. Carte jr., 24, died suddenly at home on June 24, 2009. Mike was born on Jan 6, 1985 at Lorain St. Joes. He was employed as a long distance mover. He attended Brookside H.S. where he excelled in football and baseball. He was named to the Ohio All State high school football team and the United States baseball team which traveled to Australia for competition. He also participated in basketball, weightlifting and snow boarding. He later attended Eastern Michigan University, Tri-C and LCC.Michael loved people, family, sports, and his animals: Bo and Bennie, his dogs; Baby and Peanut, his cats. Michael is survived by his mother Melody Carte Martin and step-father James Martin of Sheffield Lake; grandparents; Betty and J.R. Husk of Florida; John (Pop) Wallace of Sheffield Lake Lyle Carte of West Virginia; great grandmother; Doris Jackson of Avon Lake; aunts and uncles; George Pace,Daniel Pace, Michelle Pace, Ray Carte (Diane), Jimmy Carte (Melissa), Janette Carte and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his father Michael Carte sr.; grandmother Carol Wallace; grandfather; Foster Jackson; and uncle Jeffery Pace. Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon-Belden Rd., Avon Lake on Saturday, June 27 from 2-5 and 6-8pm. Funeral Services will be at the funeral home on Monday, June 29 at 1:00pm. Rev. Kelly Brill of the Avon Lake United Church of Christ will officiate. Internment will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst
