I saw the God Father of Soul for the first time performing on the Ed Sullivan show. He was singing " Please, Please, Please",
and then I heard him on the radio singing," Say it loud, I'm black and I'm proud. One of my favorite song of his was " Don't be a drop out, stay in school. During that era black children was seen but not heard therefore it was good to be told you could be anything you wanted to be. We needed someone to address our self-esteem. Rest in PEACE, Mr. Brown.
